For nearly a century Moffatt Fresh Produce have been putting quality fresh food on the tables of Australian families.
The vision for Robert Moffatt and his son Allan (Scotty) Moffatt back in 1924 was simple – an Australian family committed to providing the best possible produce for a growing Australian population. Now, nearly 100 years on, that tradition continues with the fifth generation of Moffatt farmers bringing first class carrots and onions from their family to yours.
Located in Tarome in the picturesque Fassifern Valley, South East Queensland, Australia, the family’s farming foundations began as share farmers.
The family trialled a wide range of farming practices on the 70 acre “home” farm. But it was the favourable climate, rich alluvial soil, plentiful water supplies and proximity to markets that confirmed carrots and onions were the optimum crops and with premium quality and high yields as a result, the family’s destiny to become one of Australia’s largest suppliers of these staple vegetables was sealed.
Moffatt Fresh Produce commitment to tackling the competitive fresh produce market head-on while standing by its promise to deliver quality vegetables is evidenced by the sourcing of choice agricultural land in the Lockyer Valley and Southern Downs shoring up supply for an increase in demand.
The addition of state-of-the-art technology and a family based workforce which traces the product from the paddock to the plate further cements their position as a business on the move.
