QUALITY AND TASTE, NATURALLY BASED FARMING SYSTEMS.

OUR GUARANTEE-FRESH, CLEAN AND GREEN.

HOW

WE

DIFFER

ATTENTION TO DETAIL
TASTE & QUALITY
  • While taste and quality are certainly important to us and our customers, sustainable farming practices and food safety are also paramount. At Moffatt Fresh Produce these factors are instilled in our farming beliefs.

FALLOW CROP PERIODS
  • Our farming systems are naturally-based with long “fallow crop” periods between crops to naturally boost soil fertility and disease resistance thereby minimising fertiliser and chemical use.

SUSTAINABLE FARMING METHODS
  • Food that is healthy, safe and produced via sustainable farming measures will ensure the wellbeing of future generations of Australian families and that is something we take very seriously.

  • Almost 100 years after that first sod was turned and that precious seed sown, we are still going strong putting fresh food on the tables of Aussie families. That is the type of dependability you can rely on with Moffatt Fresh Produce. And we guarantee that our produce is always “fresh, clean and green.”

  • We believe there is an exact science to producing quality carrots and onions – and nothing beats proper care and attention to detail. Over the years we have experimented, researched and developed produce we consider to be second to none in terms of quality and taste.

RICH FERTILE SOIL
  • Rich, fertile soils free of contaminants and an abundant supply of pristine water are our most vital assets and are at the very heart of what we do. To ensure sustainability of these valuable resources we have adopted best farming practices designed to minimise the environmental impact, and continuously improve the health and fertility of our soils. Our water is delivered using the latest in irrigation technology ensuring minimal wastage and our tractors are connected to a state-of-the-art GPS controlled traffic guidance system to ensure minimal compaction of the soil.

FOOD SAFETY MANAGEMENT
  • Our food safety management systems and standards as mentioned above, are strictly controlled by the nationally approved Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) system.

  • As an exporter we must also adhere to the rigorous Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS) guidelines. Much of the investment we have made in environmental sustainable farming practice also results in a safer product for our customers by minimising the use of chemicals and fertilisers.
